About Us
The Vision for CYAP is to change lives and empower youth to achieve greatness.
The Mission for CYAP
is to promote and provide the youth of our community with a safe environment and encourage positive life choices through education, recreation, and community service activities.

Our History
CYAP was formed 5 years ago with the goal of providing the youth of our surrounding communities positive activities in which they might participate.

We have started activities that include arts, sports, and community service.  Many of these activities are provided at no cost to our youth.

Community Collaboration
As part of our mission, we have assisted both financially and by direct assistance with other organizations such as:
    1. American Cancer Society "Relay for Life"
    2. After Prom for several of our local schools.
    3. City of Purcell
    4. University of Oklahoma
    5. Student organizations such as Honor Society and Key Club.
    6. Community Alliance of Resources for Everyone
    7. Norman Alcohol Information Center
    8. Purcell Public Schools

How We Are Funded
We are a very "grass roots" organization with over 1000 hours of volunteerism provided by our members.  Our primary source of funding is our annual golf tournament that is usually held on the 3rd Saturday in August at the Brent Bruehl Memorial Golf Course, in Purcell, OK.

Community and business donations provide many of the resources necessary to provide the activities for the children and community.

If you would like to make a tax-decuctible contribution, you may do so by sending it to:

What We Are Doing:
We are working with city government, organizations, businesses, and individuals
to provide the things that we have listed here.

One of our big activities is a winter basketball league for grades K-6.  This has been a very successful program and it has helped our young people learn the game of basketball and more importantly sportsmanship as related to the game.
This is a big undertaking for our organization and it continues to grow each year.  This year we had 215 youth participate in our league.  We work closely with the Purcell Public Schools to provide locations for play of these games.

During the summer months we offer free "Swim and Movie" events for youth in grades 5 through 12.  This is done by collaborating with the Pioneer Library System, City of Purcell, Purcell Police Department and the McClain County Sherriff's Office.

End Of Summer Bash
This event is put on for all of our community with a focus on fun for the entire family.  We provide activities that run all day and into the night.  Free swimming...Golf Tournament...Education activities...Music by local talent...Dog Show...Free Hot Dog Meal for everyone in attendance...Free movie under the stars.  Whew!! That's a lot of things to do and it is all free and it is wholesome fun for all.
